It is Monday

This past weekend was a lazy one. We needed a weekend where there wasn't really anything going on. Jim needed a laid back weekend that is for sure. Since returning to work from 7 days in the hospital, his ability to bounce back into the 10 hour a day schedule isn't as good as days past. As we get older adapting to change in schedules are harder to come by. I don't want to blame everything on age but it is true. PLUS we have cancer. That "alien" (that Sandra calls it) has invaded our home and is in the back of all our minds. Elena hugs Jim more, yells at me more too. I think she resents the fact that in her short life she has had plenty of mothers it's the Dads that don't seem to pan out. She once said that Jim was really special because he was the only dad she ever had. Yesterday's message at church was written just for us. It's message of trying to figure out the Whys are really exasperating and that God doesn't allow or makes it happen when bad things happen to good people. He has a plan for our lives and it will be carried out in one way or another. Our humanness has caused such turmoil in our society and lives. The fact that He loves us and wants us is beyond my comprehension. We messed up, we made our choices our mistakes, our destiny and God is loving us any way.
Talked to another couple who is been going through some heavy health issues involving their son for the last 4 years. And we thought we had problems. They have been going through the doubts and questions for 4 years! Although right now there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel, it's been a long, hard journey. I am afraid of this journey. Is this my Esther moment in my life? Am I here for just a time as this?
Praying....
Believing....
Waiting....
